PAKENHAM PARISH COUNCIL

MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 28 OCTOBER 2004

THE VILLAGE HALL, PAKENHAM AT 7.30 PM

PRESENT: Cllr J Mangnall, Cllr L Couper, Cllr H Painter, Cllr R Griffin, Mrs M Harbury and Mrs J Brookman (clerk).

APOLOGIES: Cllr D Dorling

1.0 - DECLARATION OF INTERESTS:

There were no declarations of interest.

2.0 - PUBLIC FORUM:

Mrs Harbury addressed the meeting with reference to planning application SE/04/3601/P relating to The Fox, The Street, Pakenham.

3.0 - CLERK'S REPORT:

The Borough Council had confirmed that the parish council could start to advertise the vacancy for a parish councillor for the parish and invite applications.

The clerk reported that the parish council insurers had confirmed that as the parish council would not be organising the Royal British Legion Parade it had no responsibility to carry out a risk assessment and that any one watching the parade in the village would be covered in the normal way by the public liability covered in the policy.

4.0 - PLANNING APPLICATIONS:

SE/04/3601/P The Fox, The Street, Pakenham. Applicant - Greene King Pub Partners. Provision of (i) 12 no. lanterns on front, side and rear elevations and (ii) 2 no. lampposts on patio area. The parish council asked that the intensity of the lights is no brighter than the current ones. The present tenants are very conscientious and turn off the lights at 11.30 pm weekdays and Sundays and at midnight on Saturdays, subsequent tenants may not be as thoughtful, request times are included in the conditions of approval for this application.

SE/04/3602/P The Fox, The Street, Pakenham. Applicant - Greene King Pub Partners. Provision of (i) externally illuminated house name, letters and logos; (ii) externally illuminated hanging sign and (iii) externally illuminated and non-illuminated facility signs. No observations.

SE/04/3578/P Redcastle Farm, Brand Road, Gt Barton. Applicant - Mr & Mrs Crane. Erection of three bay cartlodge. No observations.

SE/04/3579/LB Redcastle Farm, Brand Road, Gt Barton. Applicant - Mr & Mrs Crane. Demolition of garden wall. No observations.

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday 23 November 2004 in the Village Hall, Pakenham commencing at 7.30 pm
