February 9th 2012 - Missing People
We are privileged to welcome to our W.I. Mrs. Nicki Durbin, who will speak about the work of the charity Missing People. Her son Luke has been missing for nearly six years. How has this organization helped her to cope with something that we dare not imagine happening in our own family? This meeting is open to all. To support Missing People we shall be selling cup cakes at £1 each to eat in with a drink or to take away. There will also be a raffle. The evening starts at 7.30pm.
February 13th 2012 - Van Dal Shoe Factory
Planning has already begun for several W.I. outings to come. The first one is to the Van Dal shoe factory in Norwich on the 13th February. After a tour to see the manufacturing process we get the chance to find a bargain in their factory shop. You can't go to Norwich without hitting the main shops, so we'll get into town for a snack and see what's new in store for a couple of hours too.
March 8th 2012 - A to Z of Roses
With the forthcoming better weather in mind we have invited back a very popular chap Simon, who showed us how to make a holly wreath in time for Christmas. This time he's giving us the A to Z of Roses. What's the betting A is for those pesky aphids? Whatever it is, he's sure to be as personable as he was before and we'll all learn lots.
Do come along to any of our meetings that you think may be of interest. The village hall notice board will show what's on and when. There's no charge for giving us a try!
