9th August 2012 - My Farm and Other Animals
A group of some thirty members spent a most pleasant evening in the company of a friend of one of our members. In only three years he has transformed a wilderness into a beautiful garden and a haven for several unusual and rare creatures. Paul, our host, told interesting stories and facts about the goats, geese, ducks, chickens and rabbits that he keeps. There was also a wild rabbit on the outside of the perimeter fence which, we were convinced, was looking for the way IN to this peaceful sanctuary.

30th August 2012 - Visit to Burghley Horse Trials
This was day one of an annual 4 day event, featuring that day the Dressage and Pony Club classes. Having been inspired by the amazing equestrian sights on T.V at the Olympics, twenty members and friends braved a very chilly wind, squally showers and muddy conditions to see, for real, some live and up close action. Such events have an atmosphere quite special. The horses together with the endless trade stands offering beautifully made clothes, jewellery, paintings etc. made braving the weather worthwhile.
