January 9th 2014 – A Breath of Fresh Air
WI 20140109 Guest Mike BrayMike Bray was our guest speaker for the evening, to tell the very personal story of his single lung transplant. What an amazing and delightful man, a true inspiration to all, in his fight and fortitude for life in such traumatic circumstances. The 'breath of fresh air' his first taste of the air around him after his transplant, ending years of dependency on piped nasal oxygen. He has now devoted his life and energy creating awareness of his IPF (irreversible scaring and damage to the lungs) and raising money for the newly formed charity to support sufferers. The competition photograph of a floral Christmas decoration was won by Beryl, second was Rosemary and third Barbara. Thank you one and all for a really lovely evening.

February 12th 2014 – Strictly Licensed to Kill
Sixteen of us head to Ipswich Regent to see Brendan Cole, Natalie Lowe and other Strictly Come Dancing favourites in this much acclaimed stage show. Keep dancing!!!

February 13th 2014 – DIY Pottery Painting
Hannah Kingston joins us for the evening to demonstrate and then discover our talents in the art of pottery painting. Hannah supplies the vases, jugs, mugs and plates of our choice and we paint them.
