Pakenham WI

May 10th 2015 – Food Fare at Pakenham Mill
We were delighted to be part of the mill food fare day with our usual cake stall. Many thanks to Pat, Julie, Jean and Barbara on table and the many members baking contributions - we were able to raise a substantial amount for our funds.

May 14th 2015 – Resolution and AGM Meeting
We were delighted to welcome two new members and three visitors Jenny and Irene; past members now living abroad, and Jill our local WI advisor, so great to see them all.
Our guest speaker for the evening was Dave our Ixworth butcher. He brought a lamb (dead of course) and expertly jointed it on the table. We were able to ask so many questions on every meaty topic known to man and were incredibly impressed by Dave’s expert knowledge and experience.

Last year's committee and president were re- elected to serve the 2015/16 term of office.
After a much needed break of excellent refreshments served by Barbara, Gill and Julie, we were then given a talk on this year's WI resolution, Continuing Care by Kay and Helen; it was a very difficult and extensive subject to explain, but expertly put forward by the girls. Because it was such a difficult subject we voted to leave the final decision to our National AGM delegate Tracy.
It was a full and busy meeting so grateful thanks to all who took part and made it so enjoyable.

June 20th 2015 – Pakenham Fun Day
The WI are delighted to be serving teas in the pavilion for this year's great village fund raising day.

My committee and I are truly delighted and honoured to have been elected to serve another term of office. We have all had difficult and harrowing family problems this year, but have been happy to put them all on hold to serve our institute and members to the very best of our ability. We look forward to another interesting and enjoyable year.
