APRIL 19TH 2018 – EVENING OUT TO BEAUTIFUL THE MUSICAL.
Our team of girls and one brave MAN enjoyed a magical evening at The Regent Theatre Ipswich listening to the wonderful Carole King songs and music of our youth.

MAY 10TH 2018 – THE AGM/RESOLUTION MEETING.
We started the evening with the truly amazing and captivating speaker Amy Napper on Mental Health Matters, this year’s National WI resolution topic. Amy a charge nurse on the WSH Wedgewood Unit gave her interpretation of why mental health is just as important in our lives as physical health. Her knowledge and dedication to her profession was awe inspiring, and she held her audience captive for over an hour. We all voted unanimously that the resolution be approved and put before H.M. government.
My thanks to the tea girls Marion and Andi who provided us with a much needed cup of tea, lovely eats and a piece of birthday cake to celebrate Karen’s birthday. We then moved onto the AGM. I am delighted to report the entire committee including the president were voted back in to serve another term of office.

JUNE 14TH 2018 – THE ROLE OF AN AIR AMBULANCE PILOT
We are absolutely delighted to welcome Matt Sandbach one of this region’s air ambulance pilots, operating out of Cambridge. He will give us an insight into the vital role and service the organisation plays in our community.

On a more personal note. It was a huge honour to be re-elected president for a 13th term of office. My thanks go to the most brilliant and hard working committee for keeping me on the straight and narrow and for being the greatest friends a girl could wish for. My grateful thanks also to the many lovely people Chris, Ann, Holly, John, and many more who support Pakenham WI in so many ways with their help and kindness. I look forward to another exciting and productive year.
