March 19th 2016 – Village Litter Pick
20160319Many, many thanks to all the wonderful people who made this year's litter pick a great success. The bin bag collection was a bit of a headache over so many locations but the bin collection team triumphed eventually and found them all.
Thanks also to Jan, Max and the team for the delicious bacon sandwiches.

April 14th 2016 – A Day in the Life Of Waitrose
2016041420160414BSE Waitrose manager Louise Sweet was our guest for the evening and gave an interesting insight into the daily happenings of our favourite local store.Members were delighted to have the opportunity to ask a wide range of food and shopping questions and learnt of the many perks and advantages that John Lewis /Waitrose offer all their employees.
We were delighted and amazed to welcome 7 more new members and guests for the evening, a great reward for all the hard work this present committee contribute to ensuring top class speakers and enjoyable meetings. The refreshment team Karen, Kate and Teresa feed us the most delicious cakes at teatime. Thank you to everyone for such an enjoyable and memorable evening.

April 27th 2016 – Hillcrest Nursery Evening
We hope for good weather to accompany us to the Hillcrest Nursery at Stanton for the evening, to get lots of tips on what to buy and stock in this year's hanging baskets with the latest trend in plants.

May 12th 2016 – Pakenham WI’s AGM and Resolution Meeting
This is the time of year for our one and only business meeting to elect the 2016/17 committee and president. We are also required to discuss the two WI resolutions for 2016, which are The Appropriate Care in Hospital for People with Dementia and The Avoidance of Food Waste, we are planning to have professionals on both topics to give members a detailed insight into both subjects.  These are debated at the National AGM and one presented to HM Government for further action.

May 15th 2016 – Pakenham Watermill Food Fare Day.
We are delighted to have been invited to provide our home baking stall as part of this annual village event.

PAKENHAM WI ARE PLANNING TO ORGANISE AN EVENT FOR THE ENTIRE VILLAGE TO MARK THE QUEENS 90TH BIRTHDAY. WE HOPE TO ANNOUNCE THE DATE AND VENUE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. WATCH THIS SPACE.!!!!
