SEPTEMBER 28TH 2019 – MACMILLAN COFFEE MORNING
A massive thank to one and all for their brilliant help and support. We were able to contribute £880 (we found another £10) to this wonderful charity. Special thanks go to the gorgeous Tom York, the world’s best coffee maker Diane Farthing and my super WI team for the fantastic bakes and service.

OCTOBER 10TH 2019 – THE HISTORY AND ROLE OF THE RSPCA
Due to a last minute speaker cancellation Gillian Hendry from the RSPCA stepped into the breach to tell the story of Britain’s first ever animal welfare charity. What a fabulous replacement she proved to be, the most delightful and knowledgeable lady who captured our hearts with her pictures and stories. Formed in 1824 as the SPCA it received royal patronage in 1837 and has since gone on to provide the best known animal welfare and rescue services throughout the UK. My grateful thanks to the tea girls Ros and Lisa great eats to end a truly wonderful evening.
