The March lunch was at The Elmswell Fox where a predominantly Thai meal was enjoyed by all.

MARCH 12TH 2020 – MY WORLD OF ALPACAS
We welcomed Jo Bridges a self confessed alpacaholic with three of her wonderful  baby boys and it was just a fabulous evening. Jo told of her passion which started with just 3 alpacas and is now a herd of 64.!!!!! In between caring for her herd, judging at shows and shearing the wonderful creatures she is also a police woman. A truly amazing and versatile lady so passionate about all she does and achieves.

My grateful thanks to all, especially to Jo and to the tea girls Barbara and June for a truly memorable evening.

This month’s lunch will take place for the third time at a Fox, this time the Eastgate Fox in Bury St Edmunds. The more intrepid of our diners have elected to go ten pin bowling prior to the meal.!!!!!

MARCH 28TH 2020- PAKENHAM VILLAGE LITTER PICK
We are hoping for a great turn out and good weather for the villages annual spring clean.

APRIL 9TH 2020 – THE TEA TIME IN TEXAS TENTH ANNIVERSARY
It gives me enormous pleasure to be the guest speaker to relive our epic adventure to Texas on April 14th 2010, telling the story in pictures of how it all came about, how we prepared and persuaded many well known British firms to support us, the fantastic TV and media coverage we received, the USA shopping, cooking and serving of the tea and what it all led to for our institute including the making of the BBC 2 drama The Life of Mrs Beeton and the invite on The Hairy Bikers. Feel free to join us as a guest to partake in the original tea time delights.
As we approach uncertain times I and Pakenham WI wish everyone good health and a safe journey through whatever lies ahead. We are so lucky to be living in the most caring and wonderful community, everyone is happy to help our neighbours and to offer all the support and love we can.
