MAY 14TH 2020 – A.G.M. AND RESOLUTION MEETING
Due to this strange new world we are living in, our only business meeting of the year was cancelled.
My present amazing committee have all agreed to stay in place until May 2021 which is wonderful news. The resolutions for this year have both been put in abeyance until a decision can be made on their future.

JUNE 11TH 2020 – SUFFOLK LACE AND THE LACE MAKERS OF EYE
Sadly another postponement but we look forward to Nicky Hoewner Townsend joining us in 2021.

Earlier this month we all watched the Channel 5 documentary on the Missing Luke Durbin, his Mum Nikki had been our guest speaker some years ago telling the tragic story of how Luke went out to Woodbridge one evening and was never seen again. After all these years there is still no trace of this teenager, our hearts, thoughts and prayers remain with his Mum.

With the help and funding of other village organisations we would like to instigate an evening social event when safe to do so, to thank and celebrate the generous and wonderful people of our village who have volunteered in so many different ways to help others through this crisis. It would also be a great way to get together for a belated VE day celebration.

Pakenham WI continues via every IT outlet and phone system, our aim to support each other until we can meet again in person. We intend to try a Zoom committee meeting in June which should be fun. An opportunity to style our hair and put the lippy on.!!!

Stay safe, stay well everyone and thank you for being there when we need you.
