13TH APRIL 2023 – THE VULNERABLE WOMEN OF KAMPALA
We were so pleased to welcome our dear friend Alison Brain back to update us on the fantastic work she supports at the orphanage in Uganda. The Pandemic had a devastating impact out there especially on the children where many were kept out of school for 83 weeks. Things are slowly improving but the effects will impact for some considerable time. Alison brought many wonderful sales items made by the children and women, which members were delighted to purchase to help this fabulous cause. (Thanks to Karen for this report as I was absent from the meeting)
The members were also delighted to support Andrea’s Ukraine Medication Appeal.
