Pakenham WI News - January 2024

14th December 2023
At our December meeting we had our Christmas supper, cooked by Andrea Davey and, as usual, it was delicious. We decided not to have entertainment and Christmas music was quiet to enable members to chat.

11th January 2024
This month we held a social evening with a brilliant quiz. We sat round small tables with our wine and nibbles. Margo, a member of our WI, asked the questions aided by her husband and Linus, her Hearing Dog. It was a different type of quiz and there was lots of laughter. Margo runs quizzes with her fee going to Hearing Dogs for the Deaf. Linus even comes to yoga with her and sleeps but enjoys the fuss at the end!

FEBRUARY 2024
Our speaker on February 8th will be Lynda Brignall, who has been a midwife for 42 years at the WSH and will talk about Midwifery through the Ages.

Saturday 23rd March - Jumble Sale in the Village Hall - start clearing out (please: no curtain poles, duvets and pillows.)

JULY 2024
Wednesday 31st July - trip to Sandringham Flower Show.

SEPTEMBER 2024
Saturday 28th September - Coffee Morning in aid of St Nicholas Hospice.

We also have our "Ladies who Lunch" each month.

Do come and join us. We meet on the second Thursday of the month in Pakenham Village Hall.  Doors open at 7pm for 7.30 start.
