Pakenham WI

Thursday 13th February2025
20250213 - Lindsey BarrellLindsey Barrell was a fascinating and entertaining speaker who told us how she discovered Burlesque approximately 5 years ago. Realising she wanted to dance, Lindsey developed a character: Miss Cherry Bombe and introduced Burlesque dancing at her WI. In addition, Lindsey has also raised money for charity through Burlesque dancing.
Lindsey, dressed in red and black, explained she can vary her costume by changing accessories. We listened then it was our turn to try Burlesque dancing - everyone took part!

Our next WI meeting will be on Thursday 13  March, doors open at 7pm. Our speaker will be Dan Gilkes, a survivor of Cardiac arrest, who will talk about his experience.  Dan now does voluntary work for the Air Ambulance and will be teaching us CPR.  Do come and learn, so important.

We have our ‘Ladies Who Lunch’ this month.

Please remember our Jumble Sale and start saving items. Date: Saturday 22 March,
2-4pm. We will collect items from 9am from outside houses on Friday 21 March or please bring your jumble to Pakenham Village Hall on Saturday morning. Thank you.
