Pakenham WI News - March 2025

Pakenham WI

Thursday 13th March 2025
Dan Gilkes, a survivor of Cardiac Arrest talked about his experience and now volunteers for the Air Ambulance and teaching CPR. A heart attack is a “plumbing problem” and a cardiac arrest is an “electrical problem.”  Dan brought 4 Annies and showed us how to do CPR.  Then it was time for members to try – not easy and you must not stop until the patient breathes.  Defibrillators are available (we have 3 in Pakenham). Dan showed us how to use one. So important you learn – you never know when you will need this skill.

We have our ‘Ladies who Lunch’ this month.
