PAKENHAM PARISH COUNCIL
Minutes of a virtual meeting held Thursday, 19th March 2020

Present: Cllr Painter, Cllr Dorling, Cllr Bagnell, Cllr Davey, Cllr Palfrey, Cllr Sargent and Cllr Sidebotham. Mrs S Brown (clerk) took the minutes.

1 - Record Councillors' apologies for absence: No Councillors absent

2 - Declarations of interest: None received

3 - To consider the approval of the minutes of the last meetings:-
The minutes of the meeting held on 19th February 2020 were approved and will be signed as a true record when possible due to Covid-19.

4 - Bi-Annual Risk Assessment of Assets:-
The risk assessment had been updated to include the new projector all Councillors had received a copy.

5 - To consider grass/hedge cutting contract:-
M&TJ's have supplied a quotation for the 2020-21 season, prices have not altered from last year. The extra areas to be cut at a cost of £60 per cut:
• Area of old bowls green at the allotment
• Short section of footpath No.1 adjacent to back fence of allotment.
• Grass and hedge along front and side of Dell.
• Footpath around rough grass in parish burial ground.
• 2 Triangles of grass adjacent on the left next to the fence to the Dell.
Council all in agreement to continue to use M&TJ's and to thank them for all the high level of service.

6 - To consider quote for fence works:-
A quote had been received from M&TJ's for a small post and wire fence at the lawn cemetery as well as at the allotments for £750 + VAT. Council all in agreement for the works to be carried out.

7 - Planning Applications to comment:-
DC/20/0260/HH : Clatter Cottage, Grimstone End
Two storey side extension, single storey rear extension.
Council had no objection.

DC/20/0158 : 8 Church Cottages, The Old Oak Tree Cottage, Church Hill
Single storey rear extension.
Council had no objection

8 - Finance Report and to consider payments to be made:-
Fourth quarter against budget: All Councillors had received a copy.
Council were in agreement for the payment of invoices as below:-

No further invoices had been received.

9 - Date of next meeting:-
The date of the next scheduled meeting on Wednesday, 15th April 2020 at 7.45pm in the village hall was cancelled due to Covid-19. Council hoped to be able to hold a virtual meeting for the Annual Parish Council meeting on the scheduled date of Wednesday 20th May 2020 at 7.30pm.
