PAKENHAM PARISH COUNCIL
Minutes of a virtual Extra Ordinary Meeting of the Council
held on Wednesday, 30 September 2020 at 7.30pm

Present: Cllr Painter, Cllr Dorling, Cllr Bagnell, Cllr Davey, Cllr Palfrey, Cllr Sargent and Cllr Sidebotham
No Members of the public were in attendance. Mrs S Brown (clerk) took the minutes.

1 - Record Councillors' apologies for absence:-
All in attendance. Cllr Painter had problems with audio, Cllr Dorling chaired the meeting.

2 - Declarations of interest: Cllr Sidebotham declared an interest in item 5i.

3 - Public Forum: No members of the public in attendance.

4 - To consider the approval of the minutes of the last meetings:-
The minutes of the meeting held on 16th September 2020 were approved to be signed as a true record.

5 - Planning Applications to comment:-

Cllr Sidebotham left the meeting.
i. DC/20/1496/TCA : Bridge House, The Street
3no. Birch remove branches overhanging neighbouring property.
Council discussed and all in agreement no objection.
Cllr Sidebotham re-joined the meeting.

ii. DC/20/1495/TCA : The Fox Inn, The Street
7no Willows re-pollard, 5no Alders coppice.
Council discussed and all in agreement no objection.

iii. DC/20/1507/TPO : Mulberry House, Church Hill
1no Holm Oak crown raise by 1.5m to reduce weight out of leaning side.
Council discussed and all in agreement no objection

iv. DC/20/1569/TPO : Mulberry House, Church Hill
1n Holm Oak raise crown by up to 2m from the top of the front box hedge.
Council discussed and all in agreement no objection.

v. DC/20/1575/TCA The Garden House, The Street
3no Yew reduce limbs overhanging fence/garden building by 3m, 1no Cherry crown raise and thin by 1m from lilac beneath.
Council discussed and all in agreement no objection.

vi. Applications determined by Planning Authority:-
• Application DC/20/0158/HH : 8 Church Cottages single storey rear extension – Approved
• Application DC/20/0515/HH : The Old Shop reinstate roof to outbuilding – Approved
• Application DC/20/0386/LB : Red Castle Farm repair & replace south gable & next to front door – Approved
• Application DC/20/1102/TPO : 8 Church Cottages Oak crown lift – Approved
• Application DC/20/1172/TPO : 2 The Greenwoods 2 Cherry trees crown reduction – Approved

6 - Councillors' reports and items for future agenda:-
Cllr Palfrey advised he and Cllr Dorling would be attending the Charities meeting next week. Cllr Palfrey advised he had walked round the lawn cemetery and everything was in order. The Clerk to try and receive an update from West Suffolk planning department on Clatter Cottage, Strathcona and Rivendell for the next meeting. Pakenham stream was briefly discussed to place on next agenda.

7 - Date of next meeting:-
The date of the next scheduled virtual meeting was confirmed as Wednesday, 21st October 2020
There being no further business the meeting was closed at 7.45pm.
