Pakenham Village Tributes : Barbara Pettit

Barbara's funeral took place at St Mary's Church Pakenham on Friday 17th October.

Barbara and her husband Brian, although not living in Pakenham for many years, they with others were responsible for starting a bowls club and football team both successful in the village. It was fitting that Barbara should return to Pakenham to lay in rest and honour this parish.

Today there is no bowls club or football club despite all the hard work and planning of those in the past.

We mourn Pakenhamites like Barbara who gave there all for the parish they loved.
