TributeThe Next Great Adventure...

Wow, So where to begin with Grandma, there is so much to say.
She brought love and laughter to our lives in every single way.

Grandma was always laughing, she could rarely ever be blue.
She was stubborn, funny, full of life, a great scrabble player too.

Always smiling, always dancing always singing along
Even at the age of 101 she still brightly shone.

Every car journey she ventured on was "A lovely ride dear"
And no matter how many years pass she will always be here.

Thanks to our granny and grandad for every thing they have done,
you always have been there for her and been an amazing son.

Reminiscing about grandma has had us all in stitches,
How she was blunt with her words. How she stayed up to do the dishes.

Through her life she faced many obstacles she just had to bear,
Two wars, patriarchal societies and having purple hair.

Our childhood was filled with tales about Grandma during the war.
How horses were blown onto roofs, how she worked in a store.

How she hid under the counter during an air raid attack
How she saw people run for the shelter, how some never came back.

Although in life she faced these tragic and terrible trials.
She faced them all with courage, but that was Mrs Giles.

So mourn no longer, celebrate her life and remember.
To Rene our Grandma, death was nothing but her next great adventure.
