Joyce Dash
1926 - 2018

Joyce DashSadly Joyce Dash left us on 20th August 2018 aged 91. She was a valued and respected member of the Pakenham community and had lived in the village for the majority of her life.

She was married to the late Clifford Percy (Paddy) Dash and they lived in one of the old cottages (many years gone) in the grounds of the The Fox before they had their bungalow built on Thurston Road in 1952.

Joyce and her husband were members of the Pakenham Civil Defence Corps and she will be remembered by many as the Pakenham school teacher teaching in both the old and new schools before she retired from teaching in 1986, just three years before the school closed.

Before she became housebound (and then after with the help of her dear friend Carol) she regularly attended St Mary's, was a member of the WI, enjoyed lunching at The Fox with her friends llsa Snowdon, Gladys Edwards, Margaret West, Connie Yates and Pauline Shackleton and also enjoyed her friends regularly dropping round on Friday mornings for a glass of Baileys!

Free from pain at last and reunited with her husband, rest in peace Joyce.
